Information for Voters

Election Day is Monday October 18, 2021.

Voting takes place at the Community Center located at 1016 4th Avenue, Beaverlodge from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM.

Advance Voting takes at the Community Center on Saturday October 9, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM or Wednesday October 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Institutional Voting will take place at Amisk Court on Monday October 18, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM for residents of Amisk Court.

Who’s Running?

We are currently accepting nominations for the 2021 Municipal Election. The following is a list of candidates who have submitted their nomination papers to date. Candidates are added after they file their nomination papers with the Town of Beaverlodge.

An official list of candidates will be available after Nomination day, Monday, September 20, 2021.

Please note, that should any position have only one candidate and be acclaimed, there will still be voting for the Senate Election and Referendum questions.

Senate and Referendum Vote

The Senate Election and Referendum votes will take place in conjunction with the 2021 Municipal Election. Eligible voters will receive ballots for the Senate Election and Referendum questions when they attend the polling station to vote for their municipal council.

If no election is being held for the positions of council, eligible voters will still be able to vote in the Senate Election and Referendum vote.

Eligible voters will be able to vote to select 3 Senate nominees who may be summoned to the senate of Canada, to fill a vacancy or vacancies relating to Alberta.

School Board Elections

Albertans vote for their school board trustees as part of the municipal general elections. Election day is Monday, October 18, 2021. There are two school boards that will be conducting their election in conjunction with the Town of Beaverlodge.

Eligible voters will be able to vote for school trustees at the same voting station where they vote for their municipal council.
