News » Try a New Sport – For FREE!
Looking for a new challenge? Thanks to funding from the Government of Alberta’s Every Kid Can Play grant, the Lifesaving Society Alberta and Northwest Territories is bringing a FREE Lifesaving Sport Camp and Certification Clinic to our community.
Lifesaving Sport is a unique activity that combines athletic competition with real-life rescue and lifesaving skills. Whether you’re a swimmer, youth participant, coach, lifeguard, instructor, official, or simply looking to try something new, there’s an opportunity for you—and most sessions require no previous experience.
Participants can:
- Try Lifesaving Sport at the Athlete Skills Camp and Mini-Meet in a fun, supportive environment.
- Become a Certified Coach and help develop athletes and grow the sport in northern Alberta.
- Train as an Official and learn the skills needed to support local competitions.
Best of all, there is no cost to participate thanks to grant funding.
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and be part of a growing sport that could make a real difference both in and out of the water.
